Hotfix crystal is a machine cut crystal with multi faceted face one side, and a flat surface coated with a heat-sensitive glue on the other side.
The crystals are not natural crystals found in caves, but are man-made gems manufactured from lead crystal glass, cut by machine and polished to produce a high quality finishing.
On the other side, hotfix glue will take a few seconds to heat and melt. When applied to the surface, it will bond within a few seconds, but to fully harden, it normally will take a few hours.
Hotfix crystals are commonly used for apparel such as abaya to produce provide a brilliant effect on costumes, so that the wearer can stand out from the crowd. Light and movement magnify the crystal’s impact.
